Introduction:

Surfing the net on how to get sand in your teeth!

Welcome to your new adventure of passing, setting, spiking, and rolling in the sand! Exciting times in the sand, and with your peers you will be able to learn fun new games and activities on the Internet! We are starting a new volleyball unit, and you will learn some differences between sand volleyball and volleyball normally played in the gym. In order to learn the different rules, and guidelines to play on the sand, you will get to surf the web to find out what differences these volleyball games have.

Are you bored of the same volleyball game?

As it was stated before you will learn fun new games with your peers, with this you get to look up new volleyball games to play on the sand. These you also will be looking up on the Internet. You will find new volleyball games for the class to play so you will want to find fun ones! This will be exciting so you are able to bring fun games to your P.E. class.

Hand in the printed rules of sand volleyball. Type a paragraph explaining the differences between sand and court volleyball including the rules. Also explain what safety concerns there would be with volleyball. This will be due_____.

Task #2 – Go onto the internet and find new volleyball activities and games that have to do with sand volleyball. Print off the websites of at least three new games and hand into the teacher by____. Memorize the rules, game play and safety of one favorite volleyball activity out of the three you found and be ready to teach it in class. With this you will design a practice plan with directions, diagrams for the new game or activity of your choice. You will then implement your game by teaching your peers. You will be checked for understanding. Highlight the website game of choice on your printout you hand in.
