THE GAME OF THE CENTURY -

You Decide

by Chad Kodama

Introduction-

People say this was the best buzzer-beater game in NCAA tournament history. There is less than five seconds left to go in the game and the team with the ball is down by one. Both teams are exhausted and you can see the sweat dripping off their intense faces. It all comes down to this. All the off-season work, all the early morning lifting, all the summer pickup games, all the two-a-days at the beginning of the season. It all comes down to this last possession.

Task-

This is your chance to make the call. All those times you have gotten into arguments about which game you thought was the best, well now its your chance to decide and tell everybody. You will be given several games to choose from and you will then have to go and look up information about each one to justify your pick. You will be provided with the websites. You should read through each game to make sure that you are making the right choice.

Process-

Here is the list of games you have to choose from:

Duke vs. Kentucky 1991

Washington vs. Connecticut 1998

Syracuse vs. Georgia 1996

UCLA vs. Missouri 1995

Mississippi vs. Valparaiso 1998

Now go research each game and then pick which one you think was the best.

Once you have made your choice then you have to come up with facts and stats that help support your pick.

You are now required to write a half-page on why you picked this game instead of any of the other ones. Be sure to include stats about the game that you feel are important and help justify your pick. If I were you I would talk about the leading scores and the different lead changes and so on.
