History

Summer 2002, Middle Level State Standards were created and aligned with National Middle School Standards.   Through a grant from J.A. & Kathryn Albertson Foundation, Middle Grades Connection: Center for Early Adolescent Development provided the server and hosted the group creating a 12 credit, five course on-line sequence.   Instructors from all institutes of higher education, IMLA and Middle Level leaders statewide were invited to help develop and teach the courses.
