Idaho Standards for Middle Level Teachers:

Principle 6: Communication Skills - The teacher uses a variety of communication techniques to foster inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in and beyond the classroom.

Knowledge

1. The teacher understands how to develop, implement, and assess advisory and other student advocacy programs that attend to the socil and emotional needs of young adolescents (e.g. mentoring, conflict resolution).

Performance

1. The teacher develops, implements, and assesses advisory and other student advocacy programs that attend to the social and emotional needs of young adolescents (e.g. mentoring, conflict resolutions).
