Please see the attached registration form. This must be completed and
returned with the remittance to Jane Green at the University of Gloucestershire.
The early registration fee this year is £100 (until 31st July, 2003). After July
31st the registration fee increases to £120. The
early registration fee for students is £50. After July 31st the fee is £60. The
registration fee includes attendance at all keynote and parallel sessions,
delegate pack, a buffet and drinks reception on Thursday evening, lunch on
Friday and Saturday, the conference banquet on Saturday evening, and refreshment
breaks each morning and afternoon. If you would like to bring a guest to the
banquet there is an additional cost of £25 payable in
advance using the registration form.
Accommodation Please see the attached accommodation list. Hotel reservations must be made yourself. Accommodation for the IAPS 2003 conference at the Park Campus in Cheltenham will be in Cheltenham town. The list is limited to those places near the Park Campus and the town centre. Prices for a single bed & breakfast range from £22 to £110 per night to cover all budgets. Please book your own accommodation on an individual basis phoning or emailing the hotel/guest house of your choice, indicating that you will be coming to the IAPS conference. Alternative accommodation in and around Cheltenham can be found at the Cheltenham tourist board website http://www.visitcheltenham.com/.
When making your travel plans please note that the programme will start earlier than usual this year. The programme will begin on Thursday 18th September with the formal opening of the conference at 2pm followed by the first keynote address at 2.30pm. Papers, panels, workshops, and refreshment breaks will continue through until the final keynote address finishes at 12.15pm on Sunday 21st September. The IAPS Executive meeting will begin at 10am. There will be an opportunity to register from 9am onwards. A skeleton programme is attached. Please note that the start and finish times will not change but there may be slight alterations to the timings within that framework. The University of Gloucestershire has four main campuses, three in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester. The conference will be held at the Park Campus in Cheltenham. Cheltenham is easily accessible by rail and bus services and by road. Birmingham International Airport and Bristol Airport are only 50 miles from Cheltenham. Heathrow Airport is less than 100 miles away. All of the hotels and guest house accommodation listed are less than a 10 minute taxi ride away from Cheltenham bus terminal the train station. Papers will be scheduled in themed parallel sessions. Each paper will be alloted 45 minutes for presentation and discussion - 30 minutes in which to present the paper and a further 15 minutes for questions and discussion.
Climate It will be autumn in September so the weather can be quite variable. There may some some sunshine but you will need to be prepared for wet and windy weather too. An umbrella certainly wouldn't go amiss! Recreation You are welcome to come early to Cheltenham to visit the Cotswolds, play golf, tennis and so on. If you have any particular interests please note them on the registration form when you return them and we will see if something can be arranged. Please also note that any green fees, court reservations or any other recreational expenses must be paid for by the participant. Firmer details of recreational activities being planned for Saturday afternoon will follow. More details on all of these areas will follow as and when they develop.

IAPS conference from 18 - 21st September 2003. Jan Boxill has indicated
that a record 60 papers have been accepted for the programme. We will also have
a presidential address from Sigmund Loland on Saturday evening. There will be
two keynote addresses (details to follow). There will also be two panels and two
workshops scheduled into the programme.
