To give an example of the use of Dartfish in assessing human movement and skill instruction. The link below shows a novice and an expert tennis player executing a forehand ground stroke. Using one option from the Dartfish software (SimulCam) we can see in a simulcast of the two performers demonstrating their different approach and execution in hitting a forehand. From videos such as there we are able to show the novice not only their skill but also highlight the key points in the stroke with the use of an expert model. This gives the novice both error based information and correctly modeled information. Other applications will be posted in the weeks to follow.
