| Dance Theatre The UI Center for Dance Department stages two
mainstage dance productions each year.
Fall: Dance Concert
The University of Idaho's Dance Theatre performs our Fall Dance Concert. This is a
concert dance performance with choreography by faculty, guest artists and students. The
concert is directed by Greg Halloran and features work by internationally acclaimed
guest artists. In the past, these have included Bill Evans and restagings of modern
dance pioneer Doris Humphrey to name a few.
Spring: Dancers
Drummers & Dreamers
In the spring we offer Dancers, Drummers and Dreamers which is a full collaboration with
the Lionel Hampton School of Music. The show is co-directed by Dan Buckvich from music and
Greg Halloran from dance. Dancers, Drummers and Dreamers is unique to any other dance
performances. All dances are performed to original, live music composed by the music
faculty and students. Every year it is performed to sold-out houses. |
