B.S. IN DANCE

Required Coursework

The curriculum leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Dance offers studends the opportunity to specialize in performance, choreography or pedagogy.

The program is designed to prepare students for a professional role in the dance field by providing professional training in teaching, performing, choreography and concert production. 

The Center for Dance offers all levels of ballet, modern and jazz and classes in social dance, world dance, tap and somatics. We also offer courses in pedagogy, production, Laban studies, choreography and performance studies.

Students are able to draw on courses in a number of related fields, such as theatre and music, to enhance their education and individual goals. 

Dance students end their training with a senior project geared at preparing them for life after graduation.
