Instruction:

  • Introduction.  The rewards and risks of entrepreneurship are completely different from those working for someone else. Many entrepreneurs believe the thrill and excitement of running their own show is well worth the long hours and financial risks. Others, particularly those in bankruptcy court, are probably sorry that they risked careers and family fortunes to launch a business.

Student Activities:

  1. Students will take notes during the speakers presentation.

  2. Students will participate in the discussion.

  3. Students will question the guest speakers using the questions they wrote down.

  4. Students will write a one-page essay as to why they want to become an entrepreneur, or why they don't.

Assessment:

  • Students will submit essay.
